There’re quite a few episodes of Adobe & Teardrops to catch up on, but you’ll run out eventually. Once you do, you should check out The American Roundup, a 24/7 streaming station from The Shootouts’ lead singer Ryan Humbert.
The channel offers a hand-curated blend of modern roots rock, traditional country, classic rock, folk, bluegrass, blues and more. The show can be heard throughout the US, Canada and the UK.
The station is named after Humbert’s long-running radio show, The Americana Roundup, which airs every Sunday morning from 9 to 11 AM on The Summit WAPS-FM in Akron, Ohio. Humbert has produced over 175 episodes of that weekly program. Humbert will continue that show, and is planning a syndicated version of the show in 2021.
“Spending more time at home during the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed me to expand on my radio show and offer folks a greater opportunity to hear this music,” said Humbert. “I truly believe in the Americana genre and the great music that is being made by artists that don’t have as many outlets to share it as they once did. Hopefully I can introduce listeners to new music that they’ll love and provide them with a healthy mix spanning the history of the genre.”
Listeners can expect to hear artists such as Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile, Willie Nelson, John Hiatt, Lori McKenna, Marty Stuart, Mavis Staples, Zephaniah Ohora, Sam Morrow, Jamey Johnson, Elizabeth Cook, Johnny Cash, Margo Price, Paul Thorn, Dale Watson, Dwight Yoakam, Muddy Waters, Chris Stapleton, Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, Lucinda Williams, Yola, Whitney Rose, Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris and many, many more. The Americana Roundup launched with over 3,000 songs in its library, with new music being added weekly.
