About

For the past 9 years, Adobe & Teardrops has proudly presented reviews, interviews, livestream festivals, and podcasts of all the best in Americana and punk. Adobe & Teardrops is committed to representing voices in the Americana world that are too-often overlooked: women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Adobe & Teardrops is maintained by editor-in-chief Rachel Cholst, a New York City-based educator and (thanks to the blog’s success) music journalist. Her work appears in No Depression, The Boot, Country Queer, and formerly Wide Open Country. She’s also the editor-in-chief of the forthcoming queer country zine, Rainbow Rodeo, believed to be the first print magazine devoted to queer country music.

Sharing music isn’t a means to an end, though. Rachel regularly contributes Adobe & Teardrops‘ earnings to LGBTQ+ and racial justice causes, and she is a signatory of the Country Music Against White Supremacy pledge, and encourages you to do the same.
