HEY! LISTEN: Natalie Joly — “Will You Ever Stop”

It’s finally happening. I’ve been waiting for 20 years (for real), and the 90s are back in style. It’s unmistakable in Natalie Joly’s new song “Will You Ever Stop.” There’s lots of crunchy guitars, an eminently singable chorus, and a jangly, devil-may-care feel that I associate with the great country music divas of a decade of yore.

Joly is a career singer-songwriter and musician who wrote her first song at age 8. A performer in New England for over a decade, Natalie has built a reputation for her powerful vocals, vibrant performances, and edgy rock-infused pop songs. Releasing her first self-produced CD at 17 and selling out her high school auditorium to celebrate, Natalie went on to release an EP at 19 followed by her single “Irresistible” in 2018. In 2019 she released another single called “You Oughta Know“, which won Song of the Year for 6 states at the 2019 New England Music Awards. Influenced by such renowned artists as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Tom Petty, and many more, Natalie’s music is a unique blend of classic rock with modern pop elements and irresistible lyrics. She has gained a large social media following, with over 6,000 Youtube Subscribers and over 60,000 Instagram followers. Her Instagram videos have accumulated well over 10 million views.

On her website, Joly writes that the power pop ballad is about “love you walk away from but keep wondering what might have been. Was it a mistake to leave? Will they ever change? There’s some mystery in this song, aided by its musicality that went through growth in recent years.”
