HEY! LISTEN: Sprints — “Swimming”

Sprints’ new single “Swimming” is a tidal wave of righteous aggression. The Dublin-based band doesn’t miss a beat, bringing 80s-style punk to 80s-style socio-economic issues as the gap between the wealthy and everyone else continues to increase to a yawning chasm. Don’t sleep on this one — not like the song would let you.

SPRINTS are a four piece alternative rock group based in Dublin, Ireland. Combining emotive honest lyricism with raw and raucous guitars, they’re unique rock sound takes influences from post-punk and beyond.

“‘Swimming’ scorns on the increasing lack of opportunity after following prescribed paths to become society’s idea of a ‘success.'” Sprints singer Karla Chubb explains:
“While the homeless crisis worsens, the city is sinking in debt and everyone can barely keep their heads above water, you see an article stating that a new €25 million white water rafting centre is being developed after approval by Dublin City Council. Sometimes you’d just rather drown.””
