HEY! LISTEN: Verses the Inevitable — “Dark Matter”

Get lost in the cosmic stream with “Dark Matter,” the latest single from Denver’s Verses the Inevitable. The song is a gentle folk rock reminder of our places in the universe. With a muted arrangement, the 7-piece deftly demonstrates how they can all play a part in the universe while fitting together as a whole. Even as the arrangement builds, the band joins together with a jazz-like sense of improvisation and balance.

Verses The Inevitable is a rock band out of Denver, Colorado originally formed in June of 2015 by Daniel Hertel. Verses The Inevitable features a blending of musical genres including rock, folk, soul, americana, jazz, and blues. The band just released the first single called “Dark Matter” off of their 3rd record which is slated to be released in August of 2021. The band members include Daniel Hertel (Vocals/Guitar), Mad Dog Friedman (Harmonica), Taylor Biskup (Lead Guitar), Matt Certosimo (Bass), Michael McKee(Drums), Will Snyder (Keys), and Madalynn Rose (Vocals).

“Dark Matter is about finding solace in the unknown,” writes Hertel. “In a world that seemingly gets more and more disconnected there is a certain comfort that comes from the idea that we are all inevitably tied to each other from the moment of the universes conception. We are all from the same stars and the same dust. Everything is born from this same source and in that sense everything is inevitably connected.”
