Tuesday Teardrops — May 24th

Got a shorter set of additions for you this week. We kick the list off with Sarah King’s acoustic version of her revenge murder ballad “Poison.” The Slocan Ramblers pick up the pace with their trad-inflected “Harefoot’s Retreat.” Transitioning us into modernity is the Early Mays’ ominous “The Ballad of Johnny Fall,” then Jacob Rountree picks the tempo up with “Walk a Mile. Mayhem Lettuce’s “Don’t Mock Me in August” is a haunting lo-fi meditation on the changes the seasons bring, almost chanted as a beat slowly builds in the background.

Because I’m a sucker for heartland rock, we have the Brothers Fortune’s “Moving Along” and Kyle McKearney’s “Grandfather.” We round up this week’s additions with Sky Canyon’s “Bluesalicious” — a vibraphone-centric jazz tune that’ll send you off into your Tuesday with your feet tapping.
