Vakili Band luxriate in the swirl and exuberance of New York’s rock’n’roll heyday. Going to one of their shows is not unlike a time portal, especially at Heaven Can Wait on the Lower East Side. The quintet capture the magic of discovering something new in their instruments — and pulling forward into the unknown together. They’ll be hitting Heaven Can Wait on December 13th, but if you’re not nearby you can watch the live video below.
“Our December 13th show at Heaven Can Wait is Vakili Band’s last show of 2024 and marks my return to the band after coming off my solo west coast tour,” she explains. “It feels so good to be back, making the high energy, tight, full band sound the way we do. We’re bringing all our favs to the gig: ‘Yves Calls Her Betty,’ ‘Father’s Son,’ ‘Warn Dog’ and rolling out the new ‘Photograph’ as well. We love the venue not just because the staff is so terrific, but because the stage is up close and personal with the audience – just how we like it and we can not wait.”

In addition to the show, Vakili just dropped an acoustic EP, Tannersville. Listen to the opening track here.
