I know I keep running fundraisers, but that’s because money is necessary in a capitalist society, and I need money to publish Rainbow Rodeo!
I am so, so excited for this issue. It took a personal turn, as so many things did entering phase 2.5 or whatever of the pandemic. In this issue of Rainbow Rodeo, we’ve got personal essays about what country music means to us and our gender presentations; a deep interview with Semler about country music and contemporary Christian music; and a whole bunch of musicians like Sarah Peacock and Ellen Angelico reviewing queer country albums. Also, look at this fucking amazing cover!!! Thanks, Danny!
For last year’s Kickstarter, we raised $2100. This time around, thanks to a generous donation from the Rosetta Fund and private donors, we only need to raise $700! I think we can do that!
You can preorder a copy of Rainbow Rodeo 2 here, or subscribe and get charged twice a year. There is some pretty sweet merch across all subscription tiers including jewelry, handmade prints, and zines and limited edition CDs from Adeem the Artist!
