Road warriors Cowboy Mouth blast through the stratosphere on their new song “Alternate Reality.” If you’re new to these parts, it’s no exaggeration to say that this band has saved my life several times over, and that’s why the blog is named after one of their songs. So I’m always stoked to see them put out new music, and “Alternate Reality” is a fun ride.
Cowboy Mouth has always been about venting your frustrations, casting them to the wind and living in the moment. (Drummer and lead singer Fred LeBlanc and I discussed this on a previous episode of the podcast.)
According to LeBlanc, “’Alternate Reality’ is a rock ‘n’ roll song about the crazy times we all seem to be living in these days. It’s a song about losing your mind in order to find your heart and soul, something that is etched as a vital part of the Cowboy Mouth ethos.”
The band is heading out on their summer tour and is prepping their first studio album in years — due out in 2025.
