On her new track “Blame It On The Booze,” King presents an intense indictment of toxic relationship dynamics. The song thrums with tension from the jump, with King’s arresting voice commanding the soundscape and unflinchingly recounting the entanglements of a toxic relationship. King delivers the song’s tag-line with heavy irony and a deep sense of foreboding.
